The Zebra F-301 Ballpoint is known as a workhorse by those who use them often. The pen features a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The stainless steel barrel provides long lasting durability, which stands up against daily abuse. The F-301's ink is just average, although I experienced very little blotting and particularly clean lines for a pen of this price point. Also, the ink dries very quick, which may be important for left-handed writers. To me, the F-301 is one of the best refillable pens currently offered at the big box office supply stores. That being said, I purchased the F-301, F-402, and F-701 during my college years for their durability, pocketable size, and smooth writing experience.
The drawback to the Zebra F-301 is the plastic grip. The grip is hard and quite rough, so your finger may be a bit tender after long use. If this pen fits your writing style, I recommend trying one of it's big brothers; the Zebra F-402 or Zebra F-701. The grips on these pens are much more comfortable and each pen boast more weight.
